Noah’s ark.
You could create felt or fabric animals to hang from your tree, cut out bird, butterfly or fish shapes from card, make paper chains decorated with paw prints, feathers or scales.
Make origami birds, recycled bottle top insects. You could include leaves, nests, eggs, shells to suit your chosen creature.

If you would like to make a more detailed display, you could build around a theme around a particular habitat, for example a woodland tree might include owls, foxes, hedgehogs and squirrels made from felt, wool and twigs.
A sea themed tree could use blue ribbon, paper fish, and silver tinsel to suggest waves. A Noah’s Ark could include pairs of animals drawn onto card and cut out.
You don’t need specialist materials or equipment. Many displays can be made from card, paper, fabric scraps, buttons, recycled packaging. The most important thing is that your decorations are safe to hang, easy to see and clearly linked to your chosen creatures/theme.

We encourage you to interpretate the theme in your own unique way and look forward to seeing the wide variety of imaginative and colourful displays that this year's theme inspires.
